Welcome back to the Lunar Client Recap for March 2026! This month was absolutely packed with updates, including a complete overhaul of our in-game social system, over 15 new Skyblock features with even more parity from Badlion, a brand new cosmetic type, and a whole lot more. There's plenty to cover, so let's jump straight into the March Recap!

Satellite
Our social system has finally received a long-awaited overhaul, bringing you a whole new way to connect with your friends on Lunar Client. With our new system, Satellite, you'll be able to get a whole lot more out of chatting on the client. The most notable addition has to be Group Chats, which now let you add up to 24 friends into a single conversation.
On top of that, you can now send Images, Emojis, Stickers, and GIFs directly in your messages, accessible from the bottom right of the chat window — just like you'd find on platforms like Discord. This update also brings Pinned Messages, perfect for keeping those super secret base coords safe, as well as Typing Indicators so you'll always know you're not being ghosted
Quilt Loader Support
This month, our Vanilla Profiles were upgraded with support for the Quilt Mod Loader. This opens up thousands of new mods straight through our Launcher, giving even more versatility to those who couldn't find what they were looking for on Fabric or Forge.
If you're unfamiliar with Vanilla Profiles, they're exactly what they sound like. By heading to the Versions Page in the Launcher and clicking the Vanilla tab, you can play nearly any version of Minecraft you'd like — even versions not directly supported by Lunar or Badlion. It's the same experience you'd get from Mojang's official launcher, just in one convenient spot, with the added ability to build and customize your own modpacks from scratch.
26.1 Version Release
To round out our Launcher updates for this month, Minecraft Version 26.1 was released near the end of March, and we're proud to say we were able to offer Day One support right out of the box. This wouldn't be possible without our incredible team of developers and testers. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping build the future of Lunar Client, be sure to check out our application links and get involved!
Main Menu Redesign
Jumping in-game, the Satellite improvements weren't the only thing getting a fresh coat of paint this month. Our Main Menu just received a pretty significant redesign, featuring a brand new theme selector, an updated account center, and cleaner buttons throughout the screen. This is part of our ongoing effort to modernize all of Lunar Client's menus to feel consistent with one another, and you may have already noticed similar updates across the Launcher and other in-game areas.
Cooldown Mod Revamp
As one of the longest-standing mods in the client, our Cooldown Mod was well overdue for some updates — and this month it got them. The revamp brings a fresh new look alongside a range of new customization options, including the ability to change the timer position and adjust color options for the edge, circle, and text elements of the mod. This Apollo-integrated mod is especially useful for server owners who want to surface important cooldown information directly on their players' screens. To learn more about implementing the Cooldown Mod and Apollo's other features on your server, be sure to check out our developer documentation.
Rewind Improvements
Our Rewind mod also saw some meaningful improvements this month. Load times are now noticeably smoother, and getting into your projects is faster than ever. On top of the performance improvements, several bug fixes were also shipped, including a crash that occurred when exporting Rewinds on 1.16, as well as an issue where FPS throttling was accidentally activating during playback and exporting. If you ran into either of these issues before, you should be good to jump back in!
Performance Improvements
Closing out our main client updates for March, the team shipped a solid round of general performance improvements. These primarily benefit players on modern versions of the game, with the headline improvement sitting around a 30% increase in FPS. Results will vary from system to system, but the gains are real — check out the comparisons from our testing team for some reference points.
Hypixel Skyblock Updates
This month's Skyblock updates are some of our biggest yet, so we've split them into three categories: General BLC Parity Changes, Mining-Specific BLC Parity Changes, and Miscellaneous Additions.
General BLC Parity
Starting with our General Changes, we've added four new Skill Progress HUDs to help you keep track of your XP gains. By enabling the Skill XP Tracker, Skill Progress HUD, Skill Globe HUD, and/or the Skill Progress Bar, you'll have a much clearer picture of your progress at a glance. Each one comes with its own customization options so you can dial things in to match your setup.
For Dungeon players, the Mage Beam Customizer has now made its way into Lunar Client. This lets you tweak how the Mage beam appears on your screen, with options to change the color, thickness, and display duration, as well as hide those sheep that always seem to wander into frame.
Also new this month is the Bazaar Calculator, which lets you type a math equation directly into a sign and automatically calculates the result. No more mental math — or reaching for the calculator — when figuring out how many stacks of items you need to buy.
Staying in the Bazaar, your orders will now be highlighted as soon as they're filled, so you no longer need to hover over each one to check their status. You can even customize the highlight color in the settings if green isn't your style.
Rounding out the General changes, Spirit Leap Announcements will now post a message in party chat whenever you leap to a teammate, and Score Announcements have received additional customization options, letting you tweak the message to add a bit more personality.
Mining BLC Parity
On the mining side, we've added a collection of new alerts to keep you on top of things while you're digging. These include SkyMall Buff Alerts, Titanium Spawn Alerts, Mining Speed Boost Alerts, and Mines of Divan All Tools Alerts — each of which notifies you whenever their respective trigger fires, such as when your SkyMall buff refreshes at the start of a new Skyblock day.
The Treasure Chest Helper is also new this month, assisting you with unlocking chests whenever one appears in the Crystal Hollows.
For those spending time on excavation, the Fossil Excavation Solver will now highlight exactly where fossils spawn during the excavation minigame.
Finally, we've added Glacite Corpse Waypoints, which display all possible corpse spawn locations inside the Glacite Mineshafts.
Miscellaneous Skyblock Features
To wrap up Skyblock, we have a few smaller additions that didn't quite fit the categories above. For Exotic Armor collectors, there's now an option to display an armor's dye hex code within the lore, similar to how it appeared in older versions of the game. You can also have the text display in the matching color for easier readability.
Our Floor 7 Terminal Solvers also received a small but handy update, with a new option to announce your Melody Terminal Progress to your party. You can configure the announcement to trigger at any progress interval from 0% up to 75%.
Finally, our Storage Overlay — which launched back in January — now has an Alternate Fullscreen Mode. This simplified version reduces animations and keeps your inventory sitting right below whichever storage you have open.
Companions
Shifting over to cosmetics, our brand new Companions cosmetic type has officially launched! This first release features 5 new companions to choose from, including Kiln, a fiery dragon ready to join you on any adventure, and our Bunnies, hopping into the store just in time for Easter. Both are available now through the Lunar Client store.
St. Patrick's Collection
We want to highlight our St. Patrick's Collection, which launched this month and includes 23 brand new cosmetics. From a Leprechaun Griffin to a spinning 4-Leaf Propeller cloak, we've ensured there's plenty of green to enjoy this March.
That wraps up our recap of February 2026 on Lunar Client. As always, if you have any questions or are experiencing issues with your client, create a ticket on our Support Website or join the Lunar Client Discord server!
