What Are Minecraft Banners?
Banners are decorative blocks in Minecraft that can be customized with various patterns and colors. They can be placed on walls, used as flags, or even equipped on shields for a personalized touch. Each banner can have up to 6 different pattern layers, allowing for complex and unique designs.
Our Banner Maker tool lets you design custom banners visually and provides both the crafting recipe for survival mode and the give command for creative mode. Some patterns require special items like banner pattern templates, which are marked with a “dashed” border.
How to Use Banner Patterns
Basic patterns can be applied using just dyes and the banner in a crafting table. Special patterns (marked as “Special”) require additional items like banner pattern templates, which can be found in various structures or crafted with specific items.
Remember that pattern layers are applied in order - the last pattern you add will appear on top of all previous patterns. Use the layer controls to reorder your patterns as needed.
